19 April 2019 : NRT - Tokyo

Today enter the world of “Air Tours Holidays” as you begin your memorable journey to the Land of the Rising Sun!! On arrival at the Narita airport, meet and assist by our tour manager in the arrival area and proceed to have dinner (enroute).

After dinner proceed to your hotel & check in.
Overnight in Tokyo at the Grand Prince New Takayama or similar 4*.(D)

20 April 2019 : Tokyo - Hakone / Odawara
Guided City Tour of Tokyo. Visit the AsakusaKanon Temple. Visit Imperial Palace Plaza

After breakfast at the hotel, proceed on a guided tour of Tokyo. Visit the 7th Century Buddhist temple – the Sensoji Temple in the AsaKusaKanon District. Later see the Imperial Palace East Garden. Also visit the Nakamise Shopping Arcade, where you have a chance to buy some local Japanese souvenirs. Enjoy lunch at an Indian restaurant.Later, visit Tokyo Tower, 150m observation deck. Later drive to the Ginza area and see the fashion and glamour of Tokyo.

Tonight enjoy an Indian Dinner at a restaurant.
Overnight in Odawara/Hakone at the Oiso Prince or similar 3* (B, L, D)

21 April 2019 : Hakone - Mt Fuji – Matsumoto

After breakfast at the hotel, check out and experience Mt. Fuji, Japan’s most famous symbol! Take in the amazing views from Mt. Fuji 5th Station (weather permitting).

After lunch proceed to the ropeway to Owakudani & embark on a scenic boat ride on tranquil Lake Ashi. Later returning to Tokyo by bus this afternoon.

Tonight enjoy dinner at a restaurant.
Overnight in Matsumoto at the Alpico Plaza Hotel or similar 3* (B,L,D)

22 April 2019 : Matsumoto - Alpine Route - Toyama

After breakfast this morning, you will visit the Winter Wonderland of Japan. Tateyama has some of the heaviest snowfalls in the world. From mid-April to mid-June (tentative dates), you can walk between the 20m tall snow walls in Murodo’s dynamic Gorge of Snow. Enjoy the snowfall and play to your heart’s content in the snow-covered world. Murodo is located in the centre of the Alpine Route at a height of 2450m. The grandeur of the 3000 m tall Mt Tsurugi and the Tateyama mountain ranges, rise up in a single glance.

Return to your hotel after an exhilarating day.

23 April 219 : Toyama – Kanazawa

After breakfast, check out & today enjoy a visit to the historic Oumicho Market, a busy and colorful market and explore along with local residents some of the 200 shops selling seafood, vegetables, fruits, flowers, regional specialties and more. Later you’ll be whisked back in time to the exciting Edo period when you visit the Nagamachi Samurai district, a small neighborhood of narrow, cobblestone streets where brave samurai warriors once lived. Many homes are still occupied by the samurai descendants but you’ll visit the Nomura Family house that is open to the public where you can admire the stone lanterns and bridges in the garden as well as the cypress-wood ceiling in the residence. Proceed to the beautiful Kenroku-en Garden, one of the finest gardens in Japan and marvel at the waterfalls, ponds and charming tea-houses. Later, stroll through the charming Higashi-Chaya district before transferring to your hotel & check in.

24 April 2019 : Kanazawa - Shirakawago– Kyoto

After breakfat, visit the Alpine villages of Shirakawago and neighbouring Gokayama - Declared a UNESCO world heritage site in 1995, they are famous for their traditional gassho-zukuri farmhouses, some of which are more than 250 years old.

Gassho-zukuri means "constructed like hands in prayer", as the farmhouses' steep thatched roofs resemble the hands of Buddhist monks pressed together in prayer. The architectural style developed over many generations and is designed to withstand the large amounts of heavy snow that falls in the region during winter. The roofs, made without nails, provided a large attic space used for cultivating silkworms.

If you come to Gokayama, you really must experience making washi (Japanese paper). Make your own postcard, fan or bookmark without having to book ahead, allowing you to interact with the traditional industry and history of Gokayama and giving you loads of things for you to do and see.

Thereafter, you will proceed to Kyoto - Embodying Japan’s rich culture and complex history, Kyoto has over 2000 temples and shrines, delightful gardens and exceptionally preserved wooden buildings. The sights, wonderful local cuisine and exceptional arts and crafts are certain to enchant you! Upon arrival in Kyoto, transfer to your hotel & check in.

25 April 2019 : Kyoto - Nara – Osaka

After breakfast at the hotel proceed to Kyoto, visit the Kiyomizu temple – a UNESCO world heritage site. and theTodaiji Temple which houses the largest statue of Buddha in Japan. Also visit the Golden Pavillion and see the Nijo Castle. Today enjoy lunch at an Indian restaurant.

Later proceed to Nara – the first capital of Japan. Visit the Nara Deer Park which is home to nearly 1200 deer’s, which have been designated as a national treasure and have become a symbol of the city. Later proceed to Osaka. On arrival in Osaka transfer to an Indian restaurant for dinner.

Later proceed to your hotel & check in.
Overnight in Osaka at Agora Regency Sakai or similar 4* (B, L, D)

26 April 2019 : Osaka - Hiroshima - Osaka : Excursion to Hiroshima and Miyajima.

After breakfast at the hotel, check out proceed on a tour of Hiroshima & Miyajima Islands – where time stood still when the city was devastated during World War II by the atom bomb. See the Cenotaph which is a tribute to all those people who died due to the bombing. Transfer to Horoshima by bullet train.

Visit the Atom-Bomb Dome – the only building that remained after the bombing which has now become the symbol of Hiroshima. Also see the Peace Park and much more. Enjoy lunch at an Indian restaurant.

Visit Miyajima Island just a short ferry ride away. Famous for the Itsukushima Jinja Shrine and the beautiful Tori Gates which are a visual delight and the 2nd most photographed monument in Japan. Later transfer to Osaka by bullet train.

27 April 2019 : Osaka - KIX

    On arrival at Incheon Airport, enjoy lunch at a restaurant. Later proceed to Nami Island - a place where there are romances and different beauty of each season. Also visit Yeoju Green Village where you can experience the art of traditional Korean Kimchi making, try on a traditional Korean costume and also visit a Ginseng plantation. Later drive to the hotel and check in.

    City Tour of Seoul

    After a breakfast at the hotel, proceed on a guided city tour -visiting Gyeongbok Palace and National Folklore museum. Built at the beginning of the Chosun Dynasty when the Yi Dynasty moved the capital to Seoul, this palace remained the main seat of power for Korea kings throughout much of the time to the present. The National Folk Museum sits in the northern section of the palace. The museum has several exhibition halls which periodically change their exhibits, showing a wide selection of Korean culture and history. Enjoy lunch at a restaurant. The rest of the afternoon is free at leisure for you to shop or explore more of the city on your own.
