ITINERARY
Arrive Budapest, Hungary
Today, begin your beautiful journey through Hungary, Serbia, Romania and Bulgaria with Airtours Holidays. Arrive at Budapest Ferenc Liszt International Airport where you will be met by your Tour Manager at the arrival area after clearing immigration and customs. Kindly make your own arrangement if you are unable to meet the Tour Manager at the designated time. Later, transfer to your hotel.

Budapest - Guided City Tour - River Danube Cruise
After a buffet breakfast, proceed for a guided tour of Budapest. The guided city tour will lead you to most interesting and famous sights of the Hungarian capital: Budapest Parliament House, Castle District, Citadella, Andrássy Avenue, St. Stephen's Basilica, State Opera House and Hősök tere (Heroes' Square). See all the wonderful sights of Budapest: the grand squares, monuments and churches of the city and the unique panorama of the River Danube! Enjoy a local lunch. Later, embark on a Budapest Danube Boat Tour and explore beautiful sights while sailing along the River Danube. The river that separates the two parts of the city is 230 m wide at its narrowest point in Budapest. Buda is built on the higher river terraces and hills of the western side, while the considerably larger Pest stretches out on a flat and sandy plain on the river's opposite bank. Pest's terrain rises with a slight eastward gradient, so the easternmost parts of the city lie at the same altitude as Buda's smallest hills, notably Gellért Hill and Castle Hill.

Budapest – Drive to Novi Sad, Serbia– Onto Belgrade - Guided City Tour
After a buffet breakfast, check out and drive to Novi Sad. Novi sad is a charming city built on the banks of the River Danube. Amongst other things the city is famous for its Petrovaradin Fortress, the fortress featuring the iconic Clock Tower with the Pijani Sat (drunk or reversed clock). The minute and hour hands on the clock tower are reversed - the small hand shows minutes, and the big hand shows hours. This reversal was engineered so that fishermen on the River Danube could see the time from a long distance. Later, enjoy a local lunch and proceed to Belgrade. On arrival, discover the capital city of Serbia on a guided city tour.

Belgrade – Timișoara, Romania – Onto Hunedoara
After a buffet breakfast, check out and drive to Timișoara. Embark on a walking tour to learn about Timișoara's fascinating history and visit its main sights and landmarks. Walk through the city's main squares (Liberty, Union, Victory) and admire the restored Art Nouveau and Baroque architecture. Pass by Timișoara's major landmarks: the 'Three Holy Hierarchs' Orthodox Cathedral, Opera Square, City Hall. Enjoy a local lunch. Thereafter, drive to Hunedoara where you will visit Corvin Castle, also known as Hunyadi Castle, one of the most beautiful castles in Romania and one of the largest castles in Europe. Its construction began in 1440, and it was designed as a defense fortress against the Ottoman Empire.

Hunedoara – Sibiu – Sighișoara – Viscri - Onto Brașov
After a buffet breakfast, check out and drive to Sibiu. See the prominent historical and cultural monuments such as St. Mary's Evangelical Church - a Gothic architectural masterpiece; The Bridge of Lies - a legendary pedestrian bridge located in the center of Sibiu; Tour du Conseil - the symbol of Sibiu, often found on Sibiu souvenirs; The Small Square with The Eyes of Sibiu - the iconic eyebrow dormers on the roofs of Sibiu's houses, and the Brukenthal National Museum. Later we drive to the citadel of Sighișoara. Marvel at the numerous towers, especially the 64 m-high Clock Tower. See the house where Vlad the Impaler was born as per legend and the Stag House. Next we visit the Scholar's Stairs, a covered staircase built in 1642 to allow people to reach the school and the church easily in winter time as heavy snowfall covered most of the citadel. Only 176 of the 300 original steps have lasted to this day. Enjoy a local lunch. Continue to the small village of Viscri - one of Romania's most beautiful Saxon villages, best-known for its centuries-old fortified church and traditional houses. King Charles III of the UK has properties in Viscri. Proceed to Brașov.

After a buffet breakfast, check out and proceed on a guided city tour of Brașov - a medieval city, founded in 12th century. The tour leads you to the historical city center with the big square, the old city-hall, and the Black Church - the main Gothic-style monument in Romania. Continue to Bran where you will discover Dracula's Castle and the truth behind the legend. The castle was originally built in 1377 to safeguard the trading route between Transylvania and Wallachia. Later it became the Royal Residence in the 1920s under Queen Marie of Romania. Enjoy a local lunch. Next we drive to Sinaia, the erstwhile royal family's favourite city. Sinaia is also known as the 'Carpathian Pearl'. This town has abundant beauty in its landscapes, guarding a treasure of Romanian history: The Peleș Castle, used as a summer residence by the royal family. Later, drive to Bucharest.

After a buffet breakfast, proceed on a guided city tour of the Romanian capital. Later visit the Parliament Palace - the second largest administrative building in the world. Thereafter, proceed to visit Dimitrie Gusti National Village Museum, a charming open-air museum that showcases traditional Romanian village life with all the original houses restored. Moreover, the village museum hosts many traditional fairs, where you can find traditional food, arts and crafts. Located near the Village Museum, proceed to Herăstrău Park that is considered the most spectacular and the most visited park in Bucharest. Bucharest – Drive to Ruse, Bulgaria – Onto Veliko Tarnovo
After a buffet breakfast, check out and drive across the River Danube to Ruse, known for its 19th- and 20th-century Neo-Baroque and Neo-Rococo architecture. It is often called the 'Little Vienna'. The city is also the main Bulgarian port along the banks of the River Danube. Visit the Rusenski Lom River Valley, which together with the wider area of the Lom Rivers harbours a rich variety of flora and fauna. Enjoy a local lunch. Visit the Rock-hewn Churches of Ivanovo, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In the 12th century, hermits dug out monasteries, chapels and churches here. The 14th-century murals testify to the exceptional skill of the artists belonging to the Tarnovo School of painting. Later in the afternoon, visit the historical Tsarevets Fortress and see the Patriarchal Church and Baldwin's Tower.

Later, drive to the Open Air Ethnographic Museum in Etara, where you will discover over 300 years of Bulgarian tradition. Continue onwards to Kazanlak, also known as the 'Valley of the Roses', to learn about the production of Bulgarian rose oil followed by a visit to the 4th century Thracian Tomb, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Enjoy a local lunch. Thereafter, arrive in Plovdiv and discover the city's highlights on a walking tour through the beautiful Old Town. Plovdiv – Sofia - Guided City Tour

Continue on the city tour and see the National Assembly, the Serdica Archaeological Complex and the Patriarchal Cathedral of St. Alexander Nevsky. Enjoy a local lunch. The same is subject to availability of seats & class for the given dates & ticket validity. Kindly also note, the deviation request is to be made at the time of booking.
- Cost of Transfer: In case clients are arriving or departing at a time that is different from the group arrival/departure time, which will be conveyed to the clients while booking the tour, there will be an additional cost of transfer. The group arrival and departure timings will vary from tour to tour.

OVERSEAS TRAVEL INSURANCE:
It’s very important to find out before you leave whether or not your medical insurance will cover you overseas. Your regular U.S. health insurance may not cover doctors’ and hospital visits in other countries.
We recommend clients take overseas travel insurance to cover any eventuality while on tour.
IMPORTANT POINTS TO BE NOTED
- Only fully vaccinated persons are eligible to travel on this tour over and above the prevailing covid protocols outlined by the respective countries
- Passengers taking early morning flights will be provided with boxed breakfast.
- All tours will be operated subject to a minimum of 25 full paying passengers traveling together. In case there are less than 25 full paying passengers the clients will be given an option of travelling on another departure date.
- Keeping in view the Luggage compartment of coach & Internal Flight regulations, we strongly recommend you to carry only medium size Bag of 20 kg and 1 carryon bag of 5 kg per person.
- The dates and granting of Visas is at the sole discretion of the concerned consulate. Air Tours Holidays is not responsible for granting of visas and are only a facilitator in the visa application process and any situation arising out of delay in granting visa by the consulate/embassy.
- In case you are not able to continue the tour due to loss of passport, theft, illness, or any other life-event beyond our control, Air Tours is not liable to give any refund on unutilized services.
- Please note that in case any clients loses their passport, the cost of getting a new passport and necessary charges to revise the arrangement to return home will be borne by client, and there will be no refund for any unutilized services.
- Air Tours shall not accept any liability or responsibility for any delay in flights or change in Schedule by the airline and any situations arising out of the same. Any damages caused to the hotel rooms/coach during your stay, shall be payable by the passengers. Air Tours will not be liable for the same.
- Air Tours shall not accept any liability or responsibility for any damages, loss, injury, accident, death, delay, breakdown or irregularity which may occur in carrying out of the tour arrangement.
- Air Tours will not be liable in any loss of baggage by the Airline. However, we will provide assistance in tracing any lost baggage.
- Air Tours reserves the right to charge any additional expenses due to delay or changes in train, plane, bus, ship or other services, weather conditions, strikes, war, quarantine and any other cause whatsoever and all such losses or expenses must be borne by the passengers.
- Air Tours reserves the right to amend, alter, vary or withdraw any particular departure, excursion advertised or substitute a hotel of similar class if deemed advisable or necessary.
- There will be no refund on unutilized services or partly utilized services.
- For the convenience of our passengers, Air Tours will sometimes amend the itinerary; however all the other services will remain the same.
- If clients prefer to have meals on their own there will be no refund.
- All hotels may not have Tea or Coffee machines in the room.
- It is strictly not allowed to eat, drink or smoke inside the Coach.
- Coaches may not have any Wi-Fi facilities or USB phone charging options on board.
- Single Room Supplement charges will be applicable in case two different people are sharing a room and one of them cancels the tour.
- The Tour Cost is a combination of all the arrangements and hence cannot be calculated on an individual service basis. Tour cost is one component and not calculated individually.
- Standard check-in at hotels is 1400-1500 hours and check out is 1100-1200 hours.
- Updating of mileage is subject to Airlines terms & conditions in group fare.
- We request the airlines for your preferred seats however this is as per their policy and at their discretion.

BOOKING TERMS AND CANCELLATION POLICY
All services such as Airline seats/Hotels accommodation/ground transportation for group tours are pre-blocked well in advance. We are liable to pay penalties to all our suppliers/vendors if these services are released within the below mentioned time frame. If circumstances make you cancel the tour, the cancellation must be intimated to us in writing. Such cancellation will attract the following cancellation charges:

Keeping in view the safety of all travelers and as per the requirement of various countries, only fully vaccinated people who have taken the last shot / jab / dose at least 14 days before the travel date will be allowed on the tour..
CANCELLATION DUE TO BORDER CLOSURES:
In case we are unable to operate a tour due to Border Closure, Air Tours Holidays LLC will refund the deposit amount after deducting the administrative fees of US$ 100 per person. In the event that the entire tour cost has been paid by you and we in turn have paid our overseas tour operators, after which the tour gets cancelled due to Border Closure, then it is possible that we are not able to get the amount back, then we will try and get the refund or a credit note for a later travel date. Any loss due to the exchange rate will affect the refund amount. The company reserves the right to cancel any tour prior to the departure, without assigning any reason. All monies paid by you will be fully refunded in USD only, and no compensation will be payable. In case of cruises, 100% of the cruise cost paid will be forfeited in case of any cancellations irrespective of time of cancellation. The company cannot assume responsibility for any fees relating to the issuance and/or cancellation of air tickets or other arrangements not done through the company.
